Laura was born in Rome, Italy but has been living and working in several places around the world (London, Vienna, Belgrade, Washington D.C., Buenos Aires) where she also has studied foreign languages and music.
She made a lot of good friends travelling around the world and with most of them she is still in touch after all these years. She loves travelling and meeting new people, visiting amazing places around the world, taking thousands of pictures that she likes to collect and look over and over to brush up memories of interesting faces and smiles she met along the way and images and landscapes which passed through her life.
She loves singing and also studying in deep the voice in all its forms, as an instrument and as the expression of our internal emotions, that's why she learned seven foreign languages and also studied diction, acting, and film dubbing and of course singing.
She likes to sing and studies Neapolitan classical songs, opera songs, harmonic singing, Indian music, Broadway shows, gospel and jazz, and Brazilian music, especially Bossanova, sings as a soloist and in choirs.
She likes to look for rhythm everywhere and in each form and so takes jazz dance classes in Washington D.C., Tango in Buenos Aires, samba in Rio de Janeiro, salsa in Rome, Ballroom dancing, Musical and Tap dancing in London.
She studies with or sings with or collaborates with a lot of great musicians: Chris Forbes, Giorgio Scardino, Simone Veccia, Clizia Aloisi, Harold Bradley, Tony Scott, Barry Harris, Manuela Garroni, Massimo Monti, Roberto Spadoni, Nino De Rose, Joan Logue, Angelo Schiavi, Giuppi Paone, Angela Citterich, Roberto Nicoletti, Paolo Cintio, Roberto Altamura, Nina Pedersen, Giovanni Ceccarelli, Ada Montellanico, Marcello Allulli, Fernando Brusco, Stefano Diotallevi, Roberto Laneri, Aki Montoya, Pepè Fiore, Giacomo Gates, Elizabeth Howard, Massimo Nunzi, Enrico Pieranunzi, Maurizio Urbani, Anita Wardell, Tristan Mailliot, Robin Aspland, Jeremy Brown, Barry Green, Rob Barron, Sheila Jordan, Cerys Hogg, Jack Jaffe, Clare Foster, Cathy Walkup, Elisabetta Antonini, Susanna Stivali, Guillermo Hill, Andreas Ticino, Brendan Dowse.
She performs in various clubs and festivals in Italy, France, Germany and the UK.
She wins a scholarship in jazz singing in 2006 at the International Jazz Festival (Roccella Jonica, Italy). With her great friend, the Italian guitar player Luca Giardini, founds the JOM Quintet collaborating with the band until 2008 when she moves to London, UK.
In 2013 she records her first CD as a soloist "Pictures in Tones", produced by BBC Jazz Award Winner and 2013 British Jazz Award Winner for Best Vocals Category, Anita Wardell and featuring Robin Aspland (piano), Dave Whitford (doublebass), Tristan Mailliot (drums), Martin Shaw (flugelhorn), Guillermo Hill (guitar) and Oli Savill (percussion), recorded at the Red Gables Studio by Dick Hammett. The CD has been released in October 2013.
